Didn't think UT would go undefeated through the conference, but NEBRASKA?   c'mon.

Nebraska played out of their minds, the UT defense was uncharacteristically unable to keep the NU guards out of the lane, they missed about 50 free throws, and I don't know how many rebounds I saw bounce off of UT guys and go out of bounds. It was an almost perfect storm, and should provide Barnes plenty of coaching material in the next few days.

And Tony Almeida has really let himself go since his CTU days.

That guy got away with fucking MURDER all night, too.

Nebraska came very close to beating KU in Allen Arena. I do not think UT's loss was a shocker. They are big and play great defense. The scoring they did was surprising.

They're a bad matchup for UT. Because they pack everybody into the lane on defense and dare people to shoot from the outside, Barnes can't really afford to give Balbay his usual minutes, and yesterday that meant they had trouble keeping the Husker guards out of the lane on the other end. And UT doesn't really have anybody beefy enough to stop Almeida (who does?) if he's allowed to use that jack-hammer back-in move. Add in a cold shooting day for Hamilton, and you wind up with a loss. Nebraska had an outstanding rebounding day, too, and you can bet Barnes will be working on that today.

Hamilton's shot has been off since midway through the first half v. OSU. he needs to get going again. if he had a decent shooting day yesterday, we win a tough game.

Ohio St close to being the 4th of the top 4 to lose this week

...and, done.  Purdue has an awesome crowd.  Sounded like the place was about to implode

i hope the NU game has the positive effect that most coaches would hope for.

roughly paraphrasing Barnes:
"we have not had a bad practice, but we have not played a full 40 minutes for about three weeks. no one likes to lose, but if the loss makes us attack the entire game, it was worth it."

Their lethargic (for them) second-half performances finally came back to bite them. I thought it was going to happen in the Baylor game, but they righted the ship there.

And Tony Almeida has really let himself go since his CTU days.

Now Wangmene is suspended? He's about the last kid I would have expected for that. What did he do?

So who gets credit for the basket when two UT rebounders squeeze the ball and it pops out of their hands and into the ISU basket?

Heard this also.  Seems like this is the first I've heard of one of Rick's players getting into trouble but that could just be my burnt orange colored glasses.  Wonder how long he is out.
