Friday Night Lights finale
« on: February 11, 2011, 08:28:39 am »
I can't recall how many posters here are fans of the show, and for that matter who has DirectTV to watch it before it comes on NBC in April, but holy crap I'm going to miss Friday Night Lights.  The finale was just about as note-perfect as you could hope for, sentimental without being cheesy, satisfying for every character but also very real.  And everything after the arrival at the stadium onward might be the best 20 minutes of tv I've ever watched.  Really.

Anybody else see it?

I love that show.  I don't have DirectTV so I was unable to see any of the final season.

I did see seasons 1&2 on sale at Target for $15 so I got that.  I will buy the other 3 when season 5 is out.

Great show.

Apparently Season 5 is coming out on DVD before it debuts on NBC this season.  Sorta the opposite of last year.  And if you haven't seen season 4, it's all on Hulu.

We'll probably wait for it on NBC and then pick up the DVDs for the extras. Is it a sad, poignant ending where I'll miss all the characters or is it an uplifiting one that will reassure me that the future is a good thing?
