Wow, close play at 1st with Gardner diving there. Was he really out? I'm watching crappy postseason.tv and don't have the benefit of replays, or good resolution.

Wow, close play at 1st with Gardner diving there. Was he really out? I'm watching crappy postseason.tv and don't have the benefit of replays, or good resolution.

I was sure it was a blown call by Angel Hernandez, but replays seemed to show Gardner's arms slid past the bag without touching it, and he didn't touch the bag until after Lee did. 
In the end, my dissolution with the game of baseball will not be a result of any loss of love for the game, rather from the realization that I can no longer bear the anger its supposed stewards cause to be built up in my soul. -Lee (01/08/2013)

Yankees get their first hit off Lee with 2 outs in B5 on a broken bat bloop to right by Posada.

Well, this pretty much validates the Yankees' willingness to give up their top prospect for Lee when they were going to make the playoffs anyway. Too bad for them Zduriencik preferred Smoak.
