NLCS Game Two, Jints @ Phils
« on: October 17, 2010, 07:52:17 pm »
Sanchez with a tough first inning, able to get out of bases loaded one out by only giving up one run.

The Flyin' Hawaiian just made a GREAT circus catch in CF on a drive that carried to the wall. Fun game so far.
I'm in love with rock and roll and I'll be out all night.

I'm over my Roy O annoyance.  Go get 'em Wizard!

I like that grin as he was walking to the dugout. He's enjoying pitching in the playoffs for sure.

Thought it was pretty funny when Oswalt gave the head-shake 'no' during the player videotaped introductions when he 'refused' to say his nickname...

Wow. Fontenot getting the goat horns for this one - popup drops between him, the catcher, the pitcher and the first baseman. Where was the catcher's call on that play?

Come on, Roy, drive in that run!

Holy shit. I haven't seen Greg Gross in years. He looks like Bob Newhart in a Phillies uni.

Ross broke up a no-hitter in the 6th in the NLDS with a HR, a no hitter to Roy tonight in the 5th with a HR, and Halladay's 34(?) out hitless streak last night with a HR.  Wow!

Cody Ross? It's a miracle.

You know, Cody Ross once aspired to be a rodeo clown...

Oswalt singles to lead off the bottom of the 7th and Sanchez is chased. 2-1 Phils.

Oswalt runs a stop sign at 3B to score and make the game 3-1 PHI.  A Rollins double off the wall with the bases juiced makes it 6-1 PHI.

5-run lead.  Let the pen finish it off to take some rust off, or keep a dominant Oswalt in?

I wondered if anyone would catch the rodeo clown reference.

Think about that inning again -- if Roy O. is out at the plate after running the stop sign, Phils likely don't score there.

Oswalt was just a different looking pitcher than he has been in the past three years or so.  And I am using "pitcher" correctly here, not just a thrower!  Awesome job by Sparky!
