random 2010 stats
« on: October 04, 2010, 12:10:53 pm »
- Only 4 MLB players drew 100+ walks this season. Daric Barton from Oakland had the most with 110. Collect $1,000 if you guessed that one.

- 88 players struck out 100+ strikeouts. Mark Reynolds (Ari) led the way with 211.

- 17 players scored 100+ runs. Albert Pujols led the way with 115.

- 25 players drove in 100+ runs. Miguel Cabrera (not of the Braves) led with 126.

- 8 players stole 40+ bases and all but Michael Bourn were in the AL.

This is weird.  WTF is up with the NL?  Maybe we have better catchers...

The AL has a Molina shortage.
I believe there ought to be a constitutional amendment outlawing AstroTurf and the designated hitter. I believe in the sweet spot, soft-core pornography, opening your presents Christmas morning rather than Christmas Eve and I believe in long, slow, deep, torture of Bud Selig.

They also have Jorge Posada and Victor Martinez "catching" in the same division as the Tampa Bay Rays.
