Incredible catch on the first pitch. Gotta be loose from the get-go.

So unless he has a psychic ability to know what pitch the hitter is expecting, then what the hell is he doing here?

Blum boots 1 at SS, 1 scores (though would've scored either way, though there would have been an out). WAS 1, HOU 4. Dunn with a sharp grounder to Berkman with the bases juiced, but Berkman one hops the throw to home - 2 score on the error, runners at 1B and 3B. WAS 3, HOU 4.  Sac fly ties it up and then a strikeout ends the inning.

Just out of curiosity... why is nobody talking about Myers as an attractive trading chip/rental for a contender?  It's not like he'll activate the player portion of a mutual $5M option, pitching like this.

I thought it was an 8 million option with a 2 mil buyout?

edit:
Not that he isn't pitching good enough for that

Shitfuck.  Get ready for Lidstrom BS (2).
I believe there ought to be a constitutional amendment outlawing AstroTurf and the designated hitter. I believe in the sweet spot, soft-core pornography, opening your presents Christmas morning rather than Christmas Eve and I believe in long, slow, deep, torture of Bud Selig.

Cash might call a good game, but man, he has a very slow reaction to a pitch.  He's not that quick and you need that behind the plate.

Jesus. There's a spot about six inches square that you can pitch to Dunn and Lindstrom threw all around it. Bases loaded, no outs.

I'd throw him a slider, but 1) I don't trust Cash to stop it and 2) I don't trust Willingham to swing.

Did you see him look over to either Sullivan or Clark and give them a nice grin (and a *phew, that was close* kind of nod)?  WOW!  Had Bill Hohn called the strike that was on Puma, he would have needed an escort out off the field.  He was definitely *NOT* going to be the one to end the game.
