It's just too bad that the Michigan State QB had a brain cramp down in the red zone against Notre Dame in the last couple of minutes. Success there would have made this a gratifying day indeed.

This is what I don't understand - even if texas were to win out, should they play in the NC? Is their schedule going to be better than utah's last year? Really?

Is that a real question?   The part about Texas, not the part about Utah (I would have voted Utah nat'l champs last year myself).

I'm with you on Utah - I'm just saying, if you keep them out how can you put Texas in?

BTW - great call on moving to Manhattan. After our trip over labor day, we are trying to figure out a way out there.

We did everything - it was my wife's first trip. Saw a show, saw letterman, walked around lower manhattan a  lot, ate unbelievable food, saw friends. Just a spectacular trip.
