Clapton and Winwood

Two of the greatest at the Toyoya Center June 24th, anyone going? The tickets are $150 (plus $4 handling fee plus $16.50 convenience fee) $95 and $75. I guess a lot of people can cost justify that kind of entertainment expense, I can't. Bummer for me. I would really love to go. I saw them as part of Blind Faith, in the old Sam Houston Coliseum, way back in the day for $6.00. Anyway it's going to be a great show and if anyone does go I would love to hear about it. If I lived in Houston, I'd probably suck it up and go. Damn, I would love to hear Sea of Joy, Had to Cry Today, The Presence of the Lord, and so many others, live, again.

Just think, if you go you can get a $50 Tee-shirt. Mention of the Sam Houston coliseum sure brings back some memories as I saw many concerts there back in the day starting with the Beatles when my Mother drug me along. It's difficult to justify current prices for me any more as well.

I think Willie's t-shirts are even more expensive, like $65. Insane.

On the other end of the spectrum, you could get seats for U2 at $55 and I saw the New York Dolls last week for $18.
I'm in love with rock and roll and I'll be out all night.

At Emos? Man, I missed that. How were they? Saw them at Stubbs about four years ago, while not the same as in the 70s they still put on a great show.

They were better than I expected. David J looked like he needed a break towards the end but Syl was a monster all night long. It was a very good show, did pretty much everything you'd expect and most of the new album, which is quite decent.

I was going to make some joke about why you guys weren't just going to see Beethoven live or maybe even someone from the 12th century, but I decided against it and I'll just cut to the fucking chase.

You guys are fucking old.

Surely your AARP card gets you a discount?

I used to feel weird when I'd work with people who were born after we'd landed on the moon. Last night I figured out I was working with people who were born after Live Aid.

See you at the Lady GaGa show, Alkie.

A few months ago, we got hired to set up a firm for a guy who was born in 1990.  I actually almost fell out of my seat.

I'm sure I'm really happy to announce that I have literally no idea what you're talking about.
