TB over CWS
LAA over BOS
PHI over MIL
CHC over LAD

TB over LAA
PHI over CHC (hopefully in as heartbreaking a fashion as possible)

PHI over TB

I don't have a prediction, but I would like to see both the Red Sox and Cubs and their collective fans suffer horribly and lose in humiliating fashion.  Then, for their wretched stadiums to be flooded by raw sewage and methane before exploding.  Afterward, anyone seen in public wearing a Cub or Red Sox hat/shirt would be herded into gulags outside of Moline for forced labor and reeducation, with their diets consisting of kelp and skyline chili.

I like to think not in predictions, but in priorities.

Priority #1:  Cubs lose
Priority #2:  NL team wins the series
Priority #3:  Red Sox lose.
Priority #4:  Rays win.

I don't want the Cubs to get that far.  But if that is the way the God's want them to lose, who am I to argue with them.

Not too shabby a scenario if you ask me, losing to the 10-year-old Rays.  ETA: Lou's old team.

An all Chicago worlds series!!!!! in which the cub goes into the bottom 9th of the 7th game with a 10 run lead only to blow it and have all cub fans preform harey carey on themselves leaving the world a much better place!

Rays over the Cubs would give me a ...well... a fit of joy.
It would be muted joy, at best, for me.  I want the Cubs to get stomped in 3 by the lowly Dodgers.  I don't even want them to experience the joy of a single game won.  Just deflating loss after deflating loss, followed by a long flight home to an empty airport after an ignominious defeat in the 3rd game in LA.
Another trenchant comment by a jealous lesser intellect.

But see, they've done that before. They always suck their way out of any playoff success. Imagine the frothy lather of collective Cubfan saliva should they face 'the lowly Rays' of all teams in their quest for it all. I could see the entire north side go all Jim Jonesian when they fail.

I'm with you.  I don't want Cubs fans to enjoy the giddy anticipation of going to the NLCS, much less the WS.

Biggest injustice of the baseball postseason is that the Cubs and Dodgers are meeting in the first round.  I would have loved seeing both of those teams lose in the NLDS.  I guess now I am relegated to hoping "Manny will be Manny" in the good way (taking the lesser of two evils)

Nominated.

And I'm hoping for a Rays - Brewers WS.  I like to see new teams in it.  But like subnuclear said, predictions aren't wishes.

Here's how I think it'll shake out:

DS
CWS over TB
BOS over LAAoA
CHC over LAD
PHI over MIL

CS
BOS over CWS
CHC over PHI

WS
BOS over CHC

I am hoping for rains of biblical proportions to sweep into Chicago, so the games would have to be moved to a stadium with a roof.  Houston is lovely this time of the year.

First round:

Tampa Bay over CWS
Angels over Sox
Phillies over Brewers
Cubs over Dodgers

If the Cubs reach the World Series, I want to see them lose in the bottom of the 6th game with Zambrano on the mound (because it was just be too cruel for a 7th-game meltdown, plus the 7th game will be in the AL city) and have the national media blame the cold, damp outdoor Chicago air for the defeat. We'd laugh at them because they think a hurricane is basically the same as a nor-easter, but a nor-easter in Chicago is the same as a hurricane on Lake Michigan.

I don't care who beat them the Cubs. I just want them beaten.

Here is my belated prediction:

Phils over Brewers 3-1
Dodgers sweep Cubs 3-0

NL Championship: Phils over Dodgers 4-2

AL?  Who cares?

But for the sake of argument:

Phils vs. Boston World Series (all Northeast Series, ESPN is verah Happy as is FOX Sports).  Boston repeats.

I admit to having a hard time watching playoff baseball (or any sport for that matter) when the stros are not involved.  Might catch a game or two of the series, but that is it.  Call me a homer if youd like.

Unlike cubfan, I used to feel sorry for the Red Sox Nation. But no more. Since they broke the Jinx, the BoSox fans are not only obnoxious (which they always kinda were), they've gotten very cocky. I keep waiting for the BBG's to put it to them, but things happen on the BBG's timeframe, not mine.

I thought Mr. Happy was kidding.  What baseball fan doesn't like to watch the World Series?  Sure, it's nowhere near as exciting as if the Astros were in it, but it's still baseball!  And baseball in HD is spectacular.   Enjoy this stuff now, it's not gonna be around for very much longer!

I watch some of the playoffs and World Series when the Good Guys aren't in them. What gets my goat is the people who pay no attention to the regular season but become diehard "fans" during the playoffs, all-star game and World Series.

I was thinking how nice it'd be to watch the scrubs get swept on their home field, but then realized that the Brewers played in Milwaukee tonight...

Nevertheless, a sweep is a sweep (and 9 straight playoff losses makes it even sweeter)!!!

Predictions are not wishes.   I predict the Cubs to win it all because its just that kind of year.

This is why I don't gamble.

Agreed. Hey, I predicted the Cubs and Angels to be in the WS. Don't listen to this blad-headed old fart.

I've been accused of being a prick every now and then.
