Tigers and Chisox headed for a washout?
« on: September 29, 2008, 01:39:50 pm »
There's a rain delay on today's makeup game.

I'm listening on XM now.  Should be a fun game.  I'm trying to dose myself with as much baseball as possible before the Void yawns open and swallows me.

For anyone with access to a TV, it will be on WGN, but during the delay they are showing 'candid cat', which I happen to have a different name in mind for that show.

SNL did a spoof Sarah Palin interview, where she explained that she went to Times Square to watch a movie called "The Bush Doctrine", which turned out not to be about foreign policy.

I knew before the open, beyond a doubt, that they'd have to open with a Sarah Palin "interview".  But the truth is that nothing they could come up with could be funnier, or more cringe-worthy, than the actual interview itself.

I think we've skirted a thread hijack closely enough.

What the hell do they do if there's a rainout on the makeup day?

Alanis Morrisette never covered this possibility!  I am unprepared!

I'm guessing they'll make MIN come to Chicago for a potential DH.

Whatever happens, I hope it fucks over Selig and Fox.

Uh, obviously they're going to play at Miller Park.

I'd laugh, but...that really does seem like a possibility.

Just be ready to feel the bile rising as Selig's ugly, gurning mug appears on the TV to explain this great idea, using the Astros-Cubs debacle as the proof, and yammering on about how successful that was.

Why wait around? Miller Park is only like 30 minutes away, right?

No need to pretend it's a neutral field anyway, since the ChiSox are the home team.

Sox take a 1-0 lead off of Freddie Garcia and the Tiggers after one inning.
