We're not sure what his real name is, or how old he is, but for now we're going with Edinson Volquez, 25.  -JD

That was Brownie, eh? Or did he just repeat what JD said?

And Griffey just hits a monster 3 run shot to make it 5-0 Reds... [Griffey came in to the game 9 for 12 with 2 HRs, now 10 for 14 with 3 HRs].

At least its Volquez is pitching for the Reds.  Should be able to make up those 6 runs in a hurry...

Milo was giddy in the opening, talking about how important this game was to avenge the sweep by the Bucs.

His top ceiling is utility guy.  Most likely he's a career minor leaguer.  I went into more detail in the thread in the TZ.

Dang, and Wiggy just hit a pinch 3-run HR to make it 8-5!

And Wigginton (batting .1000 as a pinch hitter this year, 1-1) makes it 8-5 with another shot on the tracks (5th HR by RHB against Volquez this year, Spaz had #4...).

The shots by both Spaz and Wigginton were both blasts too (ended up on about the same spots on the track).

Is it just me, or did Berkman's 'power outage' begin about the same time that a bunch of guys started dressing up in cat-suits in his 'honor?'  Just sayin...

Jane got cocky last night about winning a series when she wrote the preview.

I wasn't cocky--I was relieved.  From April-end of July without a series win.  I was beginning to think I was permanently jinxed.
