Should Ozzie Guillen be suspended for telling truth?
« on: August 05, 2008, 08:01:41 am »
After Sunday's game, Ozzie Guillen admitted that he had intentionally ordered his pitchers to hit or throw at batters. Should he be suspended for that and, if so, for how long?

No, he shouldn't.  MLB and the umpires getting too involved with this process only makes it worse.  The umps end up taking away the inside corner.  This type of meddling actually rewards the team that instigates by throwing at their opponents.  We already saw this crap in St. Louis early this year.

he would not be suspended for "telling the truth." he would be suspended for ordering batters to be hit.
Often wrong, but never in doubt.

Obviously correct. Ozzie Guillen sometimes lets his mouth do his thinking.

As opposed to accidentally ordering his pitchers to throw at batters.

Guillen got the league involved when he admitted it to the public.  This isn't meddling anymore, it's public relations.
