Good job.  From now on, I'll snicker every time I see Padilla.

Well struck again, Mrs. Doe!

Can we think of a good nickname for Chacon?  I was thinking NDiana Chacon, or maybe Sister Kisser?

Good job.

I'm not as bad as you, but close.

Great job, Jane. I heard JD and Brownie talking yesterday about the new ballpark name. Now it's Rangers Ballpark in Arlington. In 2004, Ameriquest signed a 30-year agreement for naming rights but it only lasted three years because of the subprime mortgage crisis. I guess Ameriquest was upside-down on their agreement and the Rangers had to foreclose on the naming rights. If only there were some handy method to refinance a loan ...

Thanks,  I was scouring for news on that at 2:00 a.m. this morning but couldn't find confirmation.

Yep! I was just pointing out the change from Ameriquest so I could make a lame refinancing joke. It sounded better in my head though.

Hahaha, no, because they don't all come out of my head. Some of the lame jokes are pulled out of my ass. Those are the real stinkers.

Gabbard has never, yep NEVER, lost a home game in his MLB career.

Man, that is interesting. He has never lost a home game. Ever. Just incredible. Now that I've read that, it's inconceivable to me that he ever COULD lose a home game in the future. I'll bet that run lasts forever. There's no way the Astros could possibly beat him, because he is playing at home, and he has never, ever lost at home before. That is worth repeating at some point again before the game, because it is absolutely astounding that he has NEVER LOST A GAME AT HOME, EVER.

Agreed. Better rest the vets on Sunday, get ready for next week. Congrats in advance on a fine win, Kason Gabbard. If that is your real name.

[balance]Gabbard has an ERA of +4.00 at home, plus he's giving up like a 1.2 OPS on 3-1 counts.[/balance]

Nice preview.

Ahhh, Pamela Wells. She reminded me of Betty Childs. Which reminded me of this scene and it's fucking badass musical score:

Before Friday’s game, Washington and Houston’s Cecil Cooper will be honored because it’s the first time both Lone Star Series teams have African-American managers. . .

Since Reconstruction, anyway.

Nice preview.  Very solid.

I regret that we didn't attempt similar exercises for Friday or Saturday.
