Why would Nieve wait until after the season for for surgery on the snoz?  Would it set him back too much?  What would be the recovery time--surely not that long?  I mean, he doesn't actually use the nose to pitch.  Just curious.

Is the septum issue related to the labia problem that Gimenez had?

I had deviated septum correction surgery when I was in high school.  The recovery and healing process (while obviously no "rehab" was necessary) was a bit of a bitch -- definitely not a good idea to do anything remotely athletic for at least a few weeks.

My wife had it a few years ago.  She was unable to do anything athletic for a few weeks afterwards because of nose bleeds.  Sounds like they want to avoid a trip to the DL.
Always ready to go to a game.

Every time I listen to Capps, I ask myself the same question, "How the fuck did we end up with Do-Ray instead of him?"

I know Ashby had a role in his own departure... Is that the "indirectly" you refer to? Or did he have more to do with Capps vs. Do-Ray than that?
