Sunday conversation

Not much going on today on the board, so I thought I'd start a discussion.  Who are the 5 most talented baseball teams of the past 20-25 years that you can recall?  I know there are a lot of ways you can define "best team" so I'll leave that up to your own personal interpretation.  I'll add a modifier though - the teams you pick didn't necessarily have to win the WS.

Here's my opinion for now.  I'm sure I'll change my mind.
1.  1998 NY Yankees
2.  1984 Detroit Tigers
3.  1986 NY Mets
4.  1995 Cleveland Indians
5.  2001 Seattle Mariners
Today seems like a good day to burn a bridge or two

I'll go ahead and play the homer here.  1998 Astros were a damn strong team.  Probably not as strong as the Yankees that year, but that would have been a hell of a series.

Could you make it an arguement the '04 team was more talented?

Not sure about most talented teams, but my top three most disappointing Houston sports moments:

1. 1986, game 6, with Scott set for game 7.
2. Kevin-fucking Brown in '98, in the travesty that is the 5-game series after a 162 game season
3. January 3rd, 1993. The Buffalo Bills.

Best moments:

1. Bluebonnet's homerun
2. Oswalt closing down Busch, and going to the WS after being at the Lidge-Pooholes debacle the game before
3. Mike Scott's no-no
