Cesar Quintero

Howdy.  I'm trying to find out some information on Cesar Quinutero; he was just named the "Minor League Baserunner of the Year" for 2007 by Baseball Prospectus (http://baseballprospectus.com/article.php?articleid=6931).

I've looked in the Bus Ride and see that he's doing reasonably well in Venezuela this winter ("Cesar Quintero –Leones – Hitting .298 through 18 games.  Striking out about 1 every 5 AB (9/47" from http://www.orangewhoopass.com/forums/index.php?topic=104151.msg166581#msg166581 posted by Duman).

In various posts in The Bus Ride he's referenced as either a utility player or an outfielder/infielder.  He's also apparently 24 in High-A.  So, my questions:

1. Does he have a real position?
2. Is he a real prospect?
3. Does the Astros organization think he's got a major league future?

Position - Centerfield, has not played infield. Had atleast 10 outfield assist last season in Salem.
Prospect - Age is a factor here
Future - Needs to do well in AA to show that he is real deal.  Right now he has been playing against younger players for the most part.  Winter ball results are promising.
Always ready to go to a game.

Thanks for the catch on the 2b starts in Tri Cities.  When I said no infield, I was referring to this year.  Thanks also for the breakout of positions played this year.  I saw him play while with Lex and he was in center so I am surprised he didn't play more.  I knew he and Einertson split time in Center in Salem.

As for the Seattle, Baseball Cube is mistaken here.  The C. Quintero on the Baseball Cube page has a DOB of 11/16/82 in Panama.  Ours has a birth date of 1/7/83 in Venezuala.  MILB list a  Cesar Quintero and a Cesar A. Quintero (our guy).  Looks like baseball cube has combined the data.  Notice the transactions on the Baseball Cube page "Sep 30,2002 - Signed as nondrafted free agent by Astros" but they have him playing in the Seattle Org in 03 & 04.

In O5, He was in the Dominican Summer League and was the MVP of the team.

Thanks for the catch on the baseball cube conflation.  I wondered about the "C" especially.
