Mildly amusing send-up. I like the McGwire aside ("The only player untainted by this controversy").

Kind of interesting. I certainly hope this is nothing more than an eight degrees of seperation of Jeff Bagwell game.

I had no idea Bags was the "steroid ring leader."
Today seems like a good day to burn a bridge or two

Quote
In the off-season between 1994 and 1995, the Astros traded Bagwell's teammates Ken Caminiti and Steve Finley to the San Diego Padres for Derek Bell and Phil Plantier, amongst others. Bagwell never took to Bell and Plantier, and despite desperate pleas from each of them for Jeff to help them with their own hitting troubles, Bagwell refused to help his new teammates and they never regained their strokes.

Derek Bell, 1994 (San Diego): .311/.354/.454
Derek Bell, 1995 (Houston): .335/.385/.442
Derek Bell, 1997 (Houston): .276/.344/.438
Derek Bell, 1998 (Houston): .314/.364/.490

The author went to Tulane, where he resigned his position of  Executive Vice President of the UNDERGRADUATE STUDENT GOVERNMENT.

This is a joke piece, what you'd find at The Onion.
The rules of distinction were thrown out with the baseball cap.  It does not lend itself to protocol.  It is found today on youth in homes, classrooms, even in fine restaurants.  Regardless of its other consequences, this is a breach against civility.  A civilized man should avoid this mania.
