Backe's first rehab start
« on: August 03, 2007, 08:44:05 am »
It went pretty well from the looks of things.  He pitched 5 innings for the Hooks.  He gave up 3 earned runs on 5 hits with 4 k's and 2 walks.  He got the win.
Crazy Joe McCluskey was fucking nuts.  It's why they called him Crazy Joe.

"I'm a professional and all but, hell, it's tough."  Great quote.  JD was surprised by the number of pitches Backe threw.  He was expecting 30-40 but the article says the limit was 75 and he threw 77.

His parents wanted him worn out so that he would get to sleep early.

JD needs to do more homework.

Actually, he would benefit from the standard "read more, post less" advice.
