I thought you had to work.

I am at work, sending 8,000 cubic feet of water each second downstream by running two hydrogenerators at 25 megawatts each.

As the turbine turns. I'm making triple time today. Thanks, fellow taxpayers.

So we don't have to pay you for PBP?

Two kids behind home plate, prime seats, spending all of their time text messaging, barely watching the game.

Mo is 3-6 against Hamels lifetime, all singles with 1 walk. Lamb has never faced him.

Ah okay playing the numbers.  I'm just concerned that with Ensberg starting there won't be anyone to get a pinch hit walk late in the game.

Entertaining? for some. But not a sport.

Everett in the booth, along the lines of "In spring training, Loretta and I made a deal: if I taught him how to play shortstop again, he'd teach me how to hit."

I laughed.

Hunter went with that breaking pitch and hit it hard on the ground to the right side. Nice.

Then Berkman layed an egg with the bases juiced.

Burke just sucks.

Definitely not helping his chances of taking Bidge's job.  Purp had better not fucking hand it to him.

Really needed Lee to hit a HR there instead of ground into a DP.

Why's that? Did he get a new glove?

Nah he just likes dead horse arguments about offense vs defense.  He's sick I tell ya!

My tivo cut me off so I missed Pence's blast from the 4th of July.  But his bomb the night before only landed in the boxes after it bounced off the wall.  It was a good shot that is out of any park.

Everett also said Lee was a good baserunner.

I laughed.

i think he is, especially for a man that size. what he does not do is hustle.

Doesn't that detract from baserunning?  He makes assumptions and runs accordingly.  Which means that on the odd occasion when the fielder boots the play, he's not in a position to capitalise.

On the flip side, of all the current Astros I think that Lamb may have the best baseball instincts.  He doesn't always have the talent to do what he's supposed to do, but he always has the right idea in mind even if he doesn't execute.

yes, it does, but he has good instincts. if he busted his ass, he would be very good.

If he is on 2nd or 3rd and there is a flyball to the outfield, or a ground ball to the left side, he turns his entire body around and puts his head down to shuffle back to the bag. This has caused problems a few times because he is not watching the ball for a misplay, etc. He assumes it will be caught. The best example of this was the play where him and Scott motored around the bases a step apart, but there have been others.

He may be fast/quick for a man his size, but he doesn't run the bases well.
