I feel the same way.

Although my memories might be different, the main characters and the acts they perform are the same.

Very nice, Arky. Wish I could have been there in the flesh last night, but in my heart I was, and always will be.

Very nice job. We have definitely been spoiled these last 17-20 years having those two on the Astros.

Easy on the numbers, long on mushiness.

Good read.  Watching Biggio this year has been a bittersweet moment as you say.  No other Astros will ever mean as much to me as #5 and #7.  Maybe by some stroke of luck they get enshrined together in Cooperstown in the same year.  That would be one ceremony worth a roadtrip.

I liked this a lot.

When a numbers man starts waxing poetic, or prosodic, anyway. . . well, I get all choked up.  Sort of like when the lion lies down with the lamb, or when George W. Bush clears brush at his ranch; or maybe like when Wyclef Jean sings "Delia's Gone" at the Johnny Cash tribute.   :sniff, sniff:

Seriously, though, I liked this a lot.  Thanks.
