It's pretty clear that no one who voted in that poll has the slightest clue as to who Paul Waner is.

Nonetheless, the vultures couldnt wait to pounce.  The dickless Greg Lucas couldnt wait to talk about how soon Biggio would lose playing time.  There is a serious lack of understanding of what Biggio brings to baseball.  They concentrated on 3,000.  They missed what happened in the previous 2,999 and they had stopped watching by the time he did what he did on number 3,002.

Was he Big Poison or Little Poison, I forget?

What an odd question, though: "least impressive" 3,000? Are you shitting me? Clearly designed to pile on Palmeiro, I guess.

If people actually think biggio is hurting the team, they are crazy.     He may not be great in the field, he may not draw walks anymore, and he can't hit a good down/away slider, but the team is still better with him in there at 2b over chris burke.

I'm very proud I got to see this moment( have it recorded on my DVR) and it's a huge deal for biggio and the team.    You want to teach a youngster how to play the game?  show them tape of number 7.   He got hit 2,999 by busting it out of the box and putting heat on atkins.   On 3,000 he showed his aggressiveness despite getting gunned down, and helped the run score.

Ya hope so; not just a TON of slackers on that list.

Paul Waner was "Big Poison".  His brother Lloyd was "Little Poison".  Paul "only" hit .333 with a .404 OBP for his 20 year career, to go along with his multiple batting titles and MVP award.

funny that waner (big poison) is so far down that list, considering probably no one alive (that voted in the poll) was around to see him play, and alot of them couldnt even tell you who waner, kaline, brock, and murray were before seeing the poll.  i bet those same voters put jeter at or near the top if/when he reaches 3000.

No shit. Big Poison was an aweswome player. Just look at the stats. You could have put any player from yesteryear in that poll and a percentage of ESPNdiots would have voted for him.
