Qualls gets 3 days and a $3000 fine for distributing souvenirs, stands at his locker and discusses the issue with anyone who asks, and this dickless fucktard can completely disrupt a game and not have to say one word in explanation? It starts to call in question the quality of the competion we're watching.
i've always contended that if they force managers, coaches and players from the various sports to be available to the press, through post game locker room access and press conferences where they can be fined for not attending, then the same should be held for the officials of those sports. (ie, the check swing strike three during the angels/white sox series, those many moons ago)
if angel hernandez feels like he was justified let him explain his justifications to everyone. this does not affect the supposed objectivity of the officiating crew, just makes the process more transparent and accountable.
mistakes are fine, fuckassery is not.
