OK GREAT THANKS FOR THE SPAM
BTW - interesting story I heard yesterday about Spam. Apparently, Spam is a favorite of the locals in Hawaii. So Burger King is jumping on the Spam bandwagon and is now offering Spamburgers at the Hawaiian BK eateries. Sales are going through the roof they say, so the King is verrah happy with this. (Pssst, don't tell His Majesty that McDonalds has been offering McSpam for several years now).
Not that I find it all that offensive, but why is this thread still here?
I heard this story too. Paul Harvey?
Wife's car radio, didn't catch who was reporting the story... but I know it was not Paul Harvey nor his son. It may of been a re-set by another news source who wanted to give a light story to cheer up the newscast or sumptin.I thought it was very funny, my wife thought it was a "eh, who cares!" story.
I know I heard it too and I argued with my girlfriend for 10 minutes that it was true and she said I must've dreamt it since I couldn't site a source. She said, "why would anyone go to BK for Spam? Gross!"Now, I have a source. Noe in Austin from OWA!It looks like I've won one! Finally!
Don't waste your I was right on Spam. Save it for something more important. Like a baseball stat or something.
I love Geoff Leach. Every day.
I actually love spam, the meat not the mail. I am allergic to eggs, so the spam breakast in Hawaii was a special treat for me.
A buddy of mine's dad hails from Hawaii, and spam was apparently a staple of their family's diet. One night after a few too many at the local watering hole, his girlfriend insisted that I crash at their place instead of driving, and I insisted that we stop by Whataburger on the way home. No, they told me, we have food at the house. Of course it was spam, and I was just intoxicated enough to eat it. But it wasn't bad.
