Dusty Baker in "Paying Attention"
« on: May 14, 2007, 07:23:01 pm »
ESPN is showing the Cubs/steM right now and for some reason Dusty Baker is calling this game.

To kill time, they had each guy in the booth choose their overall #1 pitcher in baseball.

Dusty Baker, who managed the division rival Chicago Cubs for FOUR.  FUCKING.  YEARS.  declared "Roy Ahws-walt" to be his #1 pitcher overall.

THEN LEARN HIS FUCKING NAME, BITCH.

If its a choice, rather it be #1 ahs-walt
than the lack of recognition with good pronunciation..

but you are right Alkie, Dusty is a bitch

How could you have spent 4 years in the NL Central and still not know how to pronounce one of the 5 best pitchers in the game's fucking name???

Wonder if Michael Barrett will call the booth later and meltdown on the former skipper.

Dusty Baker thought:

- Mark Prior could throw approximately 250 pitches a game;
- black players more better disposed to play in day games;
- Kerry Wood could throw approximately 300 pitches a game;
- Michael Barrett was a catcher, not a giant vagina;

and YOU'RE surprised that he can't pronounce words correctly?
I believe there ought to be a constitutional amendment outlawing AstroTurf and the designated hitter. I believe in the sweet spot, soft-core pornography, opening your presents Christmas morning rather than Christmas Eve and I believe in long, slow, deep, torture of Bud Selig.

i thought coming in "Big Z" was going to have to start 125 games for them this year, but know i see he will have to start, and finish, 125 with that bullpen.  two outs, and you load the bases, then walk the winning run in.  10 losses pinned on your bully--nice.

at least we have 4 1/2 months of mount piniella to erupt.

Remlinger probably hurt his finger on the speed dial.

Damn, THAT was a great weekend of baseball in Wrigley.  I'll always remember that weekend and the 3 game series in August of 1998 when Alou bitch slapped the Cubbies out of the division race.
You see pal, that's who I am, and you're nothing. Nice guy, I don't give a shit. Good father, fuck you. Go home and play with your kids. You wanna work here, close. You think this is abuse? You think this is abuse, you cocksucker? You can't take this, how can you take the abuse you get on a sit?

Was that the weekend when the air force jet buzzed the field?  IIRC, the Astros score 40-odd runs in 3 games.  Quite amazing.

Mike Marshall thinks he can cure Prior and Wood lickity-split

In my opinion, Dusty would've had a lot better chance at sounding semi-coherent had an apparently sober Rick Sutcliffe not been shadowing his every utterance with bland affirmations, sycophantic re-affirmations, and statements which seemed to be blatant attempts at earning Dusty's benediction.

My thumb hasn't been so sore from hitting the mute button since Worrell left to go sell real estate in Sealy.
