A little "Gallo's" humor on a saturday morning.

Taylor is not a guy who will adjust well to COL.  Hirsh has a chance.
I believe there ought to be a constitutional amendment outlawing AstroTurf and the designated hitter. I believe in the sweet spot, soft-core pornography, opening your presents Christmas morning rather than Christmas Eve and I believe in long, slow, deep, torture of Bud Selig.

I assume you say this because he relies on his curveball so much, but wouldn't the fact that the balls they use are kept in a humidor before gametime help the break on his curve?

Of course I also heard that Colorado wouldn't be allowed to use their humidor this year which would make my question moot.

Nope, it was just something I heard at work...I was hoping someone in here could either verify or discredit it.

I thought I heard that MMP was getting one, but like you I have no facts to back it ;D

This would suggest MLB has no problem with it, though. (half way down article)

"The club began using the humidor five years ago ...."

Wow, I thought it was just last year, since that was when the huge decrease in runs per game happened.  Maybe they upgraded.

I could not find anything else on this subject after this date>  http://mlb.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20070208&content_id=1798476&vkey=news_mlb&fext=.jsp&c_id=mlb

"The one at Coors reportedly cost $15,000, not counting the cost of operating it and filing paperwork."

What an odd thing to say...

Just having a humidor means nothing. The need for documentation is to assure uniformity and consistency. A $15,000 humidor is only as good or accurate, or honest, as the person or people responsible for setting it up and maintaining it.
