I doubt it - and you know what? I'd give up Hirsh in a heartbeat. He's not so good that I'd make him untouchable; at best I think he's a fourth starter in the big leagues. I think Troy Patton is the better prospect anyway.

Baseball writers look at one thing when evaluating prospects (other than feeding off others hype); age relative to league.  The slightly less idiotic ones also add K/IP and K/BB ratio to that list.  Few are concerned with the realities of the development process, or that a young player might show way more or way less potential in person than on paper.
