Grand Slams on consecutive days for the White Sox.

Way to go Qualls.

Tell me about it.  It's a shame because Taylor looked so good before the 7th inning troubles.  Would have been nice to get him a win.  At this point, it would be nice for ANY sort of win against the South Side.

In Game 2, did Wheeler or Qualls give up the granny? And did Crede hit that one as well? Since it was the first pitch, I thought (hoped) that they were merely showing a replay.

Wheeler loaded up the bases due to poor control (including hitting Dye with the pitch that really hit his bat), then Qualls came in to serve up the fastball down the middle to Konerko who put it into orbit.

Ahh, right. It was Konerko.

Thanks.

I expect a two-out walkoff HR in the bottom of the ninth.

Wasted opportunity today to put these fuckers away.

I think it's obvious that the difference between the Astros and White Sox is miles wide. The White Sox convert two-out, bases-loaded situations into grand slams whereas Astros hitters fail to deliver the knockout punch. We did well in the early innings, but four runs with half a game left isn't enough of a cushion against that lineup.

Goddamn. They've won six straight against us. This loss is tough to swallow.

And the best part is this loss knocked us back under .500.  Everyone knew this roadtrip would be brutal, but those are the kind of games you need to win.  What did they have, 12 LOBsters?  Pitiful.

And we squandered a chance to gain a game on the Reds.

Qualls had been pretty sharp.  But lately he has been struggling again.  The 3 run shot against KC, now this.  Grandted he came into a bad situation here, but the Stros need Qualls to be better than he has been if they are to have any life after the regular season.
