Opening Day 2006
« on: January 08, 2006, 06:26:58 pm »
Well, the Holidays are past us, bowl games are completed, and old man winter has come and gone.  That can only mean one thing in Houston....January.  That also means that tickets for Opening Day will go on sale in just a few short weeks.  Once again, OrangeWhoopAss will host its Opening Day activities complete with the annual QuesoFest followed by the game itself.

This years opener will be on Monday, April 3rd, at 6:05 in the pm.  The defending National League  Champions  will be taking on the Florida Marlins.

I will soon post the info for how to join us for our little get together, so make your plans soon!

More to come...

Put me down for two.

Will the third be the lovely Nikki or the lovely Mrs. Raup?  Either way, hubba hubba, we need more chicks.

I'd bet I can twist Nikki's arm into going.

She must really want to sit next to me again.  And have me beg her for a phone upgrade.

Or maybe she's hoping for the tumor faced lady to be sitting behind us again.

If you recall, I covertly clicked off a couple of snapshots of tumor faced lady on a disposable camera.  Of course I promptly threw the camera on top of my pile-o-stuff and forgot about it for six months.  Anyway, I get it developed not even remembering what pictures were on there, and sure enough there was tumor lady and various TZ'ers.  I'm flipping thru the pics chuckling and Mrs. Uptoolate wants to know what was so funny.  I relate the story and show pics... her expression is one of shock and horror at my insensitivity.  The Mrs. and I occassionally have to agree to disagree because the night of the drunk/beligerent tumor faced lady was hilarious.

Put me down for one.  Maybe two if we can find a sitter for the kiddo.  Mrs. Uptoolate is actually a lot of fun, I now just have an uphill battle convincing her that the gatherings are not limited to fart jokes and laughing at the disadvantaged.

Me too.  Spouse/date too.  Kid too, if that's ok.

Which is it, Neil?  Your spouse or your 'date'?  I suppose if you bring your kid, you should bring the spouse this time.

I may be in for 3, I'll get back to you.

Thanks!

Put me down for two.  My friend Suzie is going to come join the group.
