One year. 1.25 million.  Great guy, I wish him well. Link

In other news... Dotel, Tejada, Ortiz, Martinez, and Lugo getting their asses sued over fradulent phone card deal.  Everybody blames Dotel for leading them astray. Link

IIRC it was pretty popular for local media to scof at the Astros signing Viz originally, as it wasn't the major "head turning" off season move that everyone was craving.  In hind sight one would have to be blind not to recognize the valuable contributions, on and off the field Jose made to the Astros during his tenure with the club.

Vizcaino was a hard working hard nosed baseball player whom never complained about the role he filled, at least that I know about.  I wish him well.

I'll give him credit for providing me with the single greatest moment of the 2005 World Series.

Good luck Viz.  Too bad we couldn't have inked him for another go-around.  He will be missed.
