I think I'm going to puke-

My wife just pulled the trigger on 4 tickets on Ebay.  Her and I and we are taking my mom and dad to the game (payback for all the times he took me to a gazillion games).

$750 for the four tix.  If the astros win tonight and I see them clinch a spot in their first ever series, with my wife and mom and dad it will be worth every damn penny.  If not I think I'm going to cry.  Either way I'm now, officially, a 100% mess until at least 10:30 tonight (hopefully not until Thursday.

I think I'll be able to handle the world series as I don't think I could possibly care what happens the rest of the way if we win the National League, but not sure.

There's a case of the sugar shits going around.  The only cure is a foot long Super Star Dog with extry Sheriff Blaylock's "chili" and "cheese."

Behind home plate in the upper tank- which is actually my favorite place to watch a ball game unless you can get seats down low behind the dish.  I really prefer that to baselines, even if they are low, unless they are ridiculously low.

I got 4 tix last year (1/3 of a season pass) in the club level b/c I wanted that option for entertaining clients- who aren't huge baseball fans, with the full bar etc.  I was so close to the right field foul pole I was pissed.  At $42 a ticket they were much inferior, in my mind, to section 418 which went for like $10 or $12 a ticket.  

Lesson learned- I no longer cater to the lowest common denominator. I just get tickets and go by myself, as I didn't enjoy being at baseball games with Nobs that were there for everything but baseball.

And if you catch 2 HR balls, be sure to give them to the Baseball Hall of Fame. They'll give you a TON of cool stuff for it, even if you're a  goofy-looking kid who once drew a walk against Josh Beckett.

1. I'm glad to see that you made it to a game (now get down here for a football game, too);
2. It sucks that "that game" ended the way it did--hope you are taking it ok;
3. I still think the 'Stros win 1 of 2 (if not an all-out assault tomorrow night) and still go to the Series;
4. That doesn't mean that I won't be cheering for my home city to win after that

Good to hear from you man. I'm definately going to the Championship game if we can get past the Raiders.  Why don't you come down for the weekend and stay with the wife and I if you can make it.
