Same shit, different day. After getting rolled this past weekend in Arlington, the Astros limped into Chicago hoping to get the drop on 3-game set with the baby bears by trotting out recent call-up Wandy Rodriguez for his Major League debut. But while WRod didn't look bad for his first outing, four runs is just way too much for this team to muster offensively, and the Astros slipped to 15-29 on the season and a ridiculous 2-19 away from the MMPUS.
Rodriguez worked 5 1/3 innings punching out six, while giving up only six hits. Unfortunately, two of those hits were of the 4-base kind. Meanwhile, the bats scattered five hits, including a solo dinger by Brad Ausmus, which accounted for the only Astro run. Todd Self, Morgan Ensberg, and WRod himself chipped in with hits, while the rest of the starters took a size 16 collar.
Not much else to say about this one. Roger Clemens will try to right the shit..er...I mean ship tomorrow night at Wrigley in a 7:05 start.
