Thanks Waldo.  Great stuff.

This series is a godsend in the middle of this west coast trip simply by the fact that three of the four games start at reasonable non-west coast times.

No shit. I doubted my ability to recover from the Seattle games.

The upcoming Angels series is going to be rough.  Fraught games late into the night, school finally resumes in Houston so those long nights will be followed by early mornings.  I doubt I'll be able to turn the game off in the third or fourth inning and just go to sleep, but that's certainly what I should do.

You might not have the option but I usually take a late afternoon/early evening nap on the days when the Astros play a West Coast night game.

Is the Saturday double bill a traditional one or does it require a ticket for each game? Either way, I can't imagine how that must inconvenience the fans. It's the kind of thing that, if happened in Arlington, could shut down the whole DFW Metroplex.

They're saying the 2nd game starts "30 minutes after the conclusion of the 1st game".  So wouldn't it have to be a traditional DH?

It's a traditional dh.  A's are also donating $1 of every ticket sold (insert joke here, but every bit helps) to Harvey relief.  Game 1 of the dh is "fidget spinner day" so maybe that'll get the kids out.

In my day a spinner was something else entirely.

Yeah, I still play with one on occasion.

I will tough it out. I wake up early no matter what time I go to sleep.

That is the best idea in the world.

Let's play four.

I did not expect this result thru the first 3 games of the series.
