Altuve: The Man, The Myth, The Legend
« on: May 09, 2016, 10:52:20 am »
Lost in the poor start of the team is the great start of Altuve.  Through 32 games:

American League
4th in Average
2nd on OBP
3rd in Slugging
2nd in OPS
3rd in Hits
2nd in doubles
T- 2nd in HR
T-1st in Runs
1st in SB
T-11th in Walks - maybe the most impressive because of the improvement. Through this point in the year, he has 16 BB & 16 K.  He has never had more than 40 walks in a season before.  Last year he had 33 BB and 67 K.

Always ready to go to a game.

I believe there ought to be a constitutional amendment outlawing AstroTurf and the designated hitter. I believe in the sweet spot, soft-core pornography, opening your presents Christmas morning rather than Christmas Eve and I believe in long, slow, deep, torture of Bud Selig.

I just want him starting the All Star game first.  I am afraid the national media is going to pump Cano and his HRs over Aluve's all around game.
Always ready to go to a game.

There is no question Cano would win a fan vote. And after this weekend I may vote for him myself.
