this is really fine, and I am very happy for you to find inner peace. many of your epistles make clear peace has been elusive for you. I had it and lost it and I am looking to find it again. I would like to write about this, but I am not sure I can. what happened was so fucking unfathomable, and I am not sure I can explain it to readers when I do not understand it myself.

anyway, thanks for posting these. I am a fan.

Very good stuff.

FWIW, I dated a girl who had synesthesia.  Hers wasn't tone-color, it was word-flavor.  That is, certain words had particular flavors to her.  She was an English teacher, which kinda made her a foodie by default.  My name tasted like steamed broccoli to her.  No one can be faulted for not being that in to broccoli.

That was an enjoyable read. Thank you for sharing. I agree that the right combination of music, beer and the outdoors soothes the soul, so long as there is not a jackass around to ruin it.
