This is sweet on multiple levels.  Stros have themselves two nasty, crafty lefties.

I want Singleton to catch fire so bad.

Astros leave runners at the corners in their half of the second inning in a scoreless game. Is that Neils sitting behind home plate?A few Astros hats down there.

He seems to rip foul balls on the reg . . . And then be dispatched without much ado.  I wouldn't write him off at all yet.

Jake!  And that's why he should be out there.  Saved a sure hit and potential run if it gets by.  Covered a lot of ground before a nice diving catch.

Morales with a fly out to center.
Rios works the count full, the flies out to Marisnick in right center-field.
Infante doesn't want to be left out, so he flies out to Marisnick in center-field.

Useful for a soft hit fly ball that drops in between the infield and outfield.  May have borrowed the term from Crash Davis.

Stupid to try and score there though, although Blum disagrees.

Eta: altuve nailed at the plate trying to score from first on double.

I hope Neil is enjoying this.

Also, I wasn't disappointed Altuve tried to score.  Gotta play like its the last chance.  He ran hard the whole way and they made the play.  I like the hustle.

I rarely to never notice anyone.  You should see me miss people that run by me while I'm cheering for marathon runners.  They notice me and I never notice them.  It's rather embarrassing.

Ugly.

At least Sipp had a helluva view on that play.

What?? How is that not an error?  No way the runner goes to third without the bad throw

They ruled a single for Hosmer.  Obviously there's also an error on the play allowing the runner to 3B.

Ashby didn't realize the ballgame was over.
Glad they didn't lose control of that situation.

Really nice, when you haven't seen a game in over a week it is a very sweet win.

Useful for a soft hit fly ball that drops in between the infield and outfield.  May have borrowed the term from Crash Davis.

I hope Neil is enjoying this.

Also, I wasn't disappointed Altuve tried to score.  Gotta play like its the last chance.  He ran hard the whole way and they made the play.  I like the hustle.

+1 On both scores. Tip your hat to the Royals, because they made a helluva play there.

If it's not in the 19th century Old Hoss Radbourn leather bound original version of the baseball glossary, it may as well be rap music.

But, to my discredit, my level of consumption had injected the term into the lines of Bull Durham, which it was not.

Did someone really say "Houston is a dry heat?"

And, just like I don't think Mexican food is as good outside of San Antonio, I don't think BBQ is either.  They focus on the pig and ignore the cow too much.

Yes. It's Texas. There's cactus there.

I don't doubt it. Hot yoga is 104, and this was worse.

I watched that interview this morning.  Makes me wonder if the current administration has reached out to him.  If not, it would seem to be a fence worth mending.
