So close to having a lineup devoid of anyone below the Mendoza line!
The test of a true champion is how he reacts to adversity on days when it is bound to come.

Not as hideous McHugh here in the 6th inning.  After a quick out, a walk, a hit batter, then falls behind Adam Dunn 2-0.  You can guess what happens next.

2-run lead erased...Astros trail 3-2.
The rules of distinction were thrown out with the baseball cap.  It does not lend itself to protocol.  It is found today on youth in homes, classrooms, even in fine restaurants.  Regardless of its other consequences, this is a breach against civility.  A civilized man should avoid this mania.

Well, it's a good thing he has such a sound two-strike approach at the plate.

So, instead of messing around in the GameZone tonight, I was baking.  I made bacon chocolate chip cookies.  I must confess, they are pretty good.

Do you put cooked bacon in the batter or use bacon grease instead or in addition to oil or what?

both.  I substituted 1/4 bacon grease for butter.  I fried a whole pound of bacon and had just under 2 cups of chocolate chips.  They look just like a regular chocolate chip cookie.

In the mean time, it's 5-2 ChiSox in the 8th.

Wow, must be nice to be Adam Dunn.  He doubles, stumbles into 2B, falls off the bag, grabs Altuve while Altuve is tagging him out.  Umpire laughs and refuses to call Dunn out.

Springer runs in a circle then suddenly catches a fly ball at his feet to end the Sox 9th.  He's an absolute embarrassment out there.

Nonetheless, on the Astros last three outs, chasing 5.

And it mercifully ends.  Stros take it in the shorts, 7-2.

Description of the play?

Oh, he got a ball that had bounced twice or so and in preparing to throw it back in to keep a runner at second he bobbled it or dropped it, I really can't remember which because I've seen him do both so many times that it's impossible to keep track. The runner took third easily.

What was really impressive is the play Hudson described. It was like a lucky Little Leaguer who goes the wrong way and then at the last possible instant somehow realizes his mistake, whirls around throws his glove down to the turf and miraculously comes up with the catch. It was hilarious.

In his own way he is as bad as Carter in the field. I mean, virtually every game he does something so fucked up you just can't believe it. And the crazy thing is that all this time we've been hearing about what a defensive asset he is. He's supposed to be awesome in the field. Instead he is on pace to be literally the worst outfielder in terms of errors for the last 100 years.

Oh, he's far worse than Carter. He's simply a comedy of errors out there. He may have earned a reputation as a good glove in the minors, but so far in the Bigs, he's easily the worst defensive outfielder I've ever seen.
