If he doesn't look good tonight and falls to 0-6 with an ERA that is close to 6, how long will the club continue to run him out there every fifth day? This is a very tough assignment tonight against a hot ball club. It must be a little demoralizing for him to continue losing. When he pitched well in his earlier starts, the club didn't score any runs for him, which is sad. I hope that his makeup is intrepid enough to withstand this beating.

I would hope they would stick with him and be patient, even if he has another bad outing.  In my mind, he has continued to exceed expectations and has earned time to adjust and further develop.

That's my hope too. I like him a lot. I just don't want him to get demoralized. I believe that he should be given enough time to work things out.

After Cosart stifled them last night, the Tigers are ready to go Mount St. Helens. Oberholtzer is a little pine tree on the near slope
