I didn't know Chris Berman would be calling this one. Sigh.
I'm in love with rock and roll and I'll be out all night.

It's like he's talking to eight-year-olds.

He always does it. Where else is he going to say, "Back, back, back, back..." besides Applebee's commercials?

Hopefully just in his nicely-appointed living room. But no.

That's why I don't watch it.

There were some monsters hit tonight...  (I would have preferred they included the 'estimated' distance on all of the shots though).

I, for one, detest the ASB, and now that they've added thursday as a day off for every team, I detest it even more. FYB and fuck the MLBPA.

I like the ASB. Sometimes it's good to take a breather and goof off for a little bit.
I hate the broadcast though, and I'm not sure any of the other options are any better.
Don't think twice, it's alright.

Harper is a line drive hitting machine. He would have won if he had someone else pitch...his pops has some control issues.

Watched the whole thing in its entirety last night for the first time in many years (probably since the Berkman vs. Tejada show).  The whole thing seemed kind of... weird.  Starting with the ridiculous "opening song" by douchey looking Pitbull and his keyboard buddies.  But that was nothing compared to Chris Berman... he is absolutely atrocious.  His bizarre, nonsensical act was so distractingly bad that I found myself cringing every fifteen seconds.  And then what the hell was with cutting to an orgy of drunk steM fandudes chanting "DAVID WRIGHT, DAVID WRIGHT!" in the waning moments of their hero's failed attempt in round one?  The whole production just felt weird.  ESPN is such a joke.

In my experience at Nationals games, Mets fans really, really like to stand up and yell "DAVID WRIGHT". Its kind of weird.

Jimmy Fallon sent Matt Harvey to interview New Yorkers on the street about Matt Harvey.  Mets fans being "kind of weird" is a polite way to put it, especially with the ESPN Magazine body issue in mind.

That's funny. (some of them seem like actors though).

I had to bail after about fifteen minutes. I never, ever watch ESPN - haven't for maybe more than ten years - and it's episodes like this that remind me why.

But what about all of the great MLB / NBA promos you miss, doesn't that bother you?
