Crowe to the DL, Krauss called up
« on: June 20, 2013, 05:29:10 pm »
Or so the Twitterverse is saying...
In the end, my dissolution with the game of baseball will not be a result of any loss of love for the game, rather from the realization that I can no longer bear the anger its supposed stewards cause to be built up in my soul. -Lee (01/08/2013)

Damn Fredia, third thread in a row that I've read a negative post from you. Didn't you get the memo?  The team has decided to rebuild.

Hey, it's been a rough run...I'm with you on that, but I also believe the club has a plan and is following it.  Also, seeing the emergence of players like Castro and Lyles has me thinking glass half full these days.

What's Krauss's deal?

Good power.  Good plate awareness.  They weren't excited about him enough to protect him on the 40 man.  He's done well at AAA this year.

Sounds a bit like Luke Scott that way.

Hopefully his violent racist and homophobic rate stats are better.

Just heard a note that Boston SS Jose Iglesias this year became only the third rookie in the last 50 years to have 43+ hits in his first 100 AB, joining Tony Oliva (1964) and -- of course -- Luke Scott (2006).

Ah, but how many have had 44+ hits in their first 101 AB? In Tuesday day games?
