If you are not a fan of the series there are many subtle nuisances dating back to the days of the original series. The script may have had a few holes in it but there was so much character development that it did not matter. As someone who is almost 60 I feared there would be many young puppies there but it was mostly people near my age who knew the appropriate times to laugh or even clap. At the same time the 3d, complete with glasses playing, but that is just not my thing.
Listen closely to the dialog as i feel it will be part of the next movie.
live long and prosper, death of a crew member, and bones and his famous "Jim I am a Doctor" and much more. If you are not a treckie see it for the action as it can stand alone on that. If you are one then sit back and enjoy.
