Houston Astros owner Jim Crane told FOX 26 Sports he has expressed interest in purchasing the Triple-A New Orleans Zephyrs and moving the franchise north of Houston, if land can be purchased and a stadium built.

Since I was directly involved in the purchase and relocation of the Zephyrs from Denver back in 1993, I wonder what outs the club would have to relocate since Jefferson Parish built that yard for the club back in the mid-90's. I thought that there was a long-term lease with the team.

I have 25 acres halfway between Teague and Mexia that could be negotiated, should Crane have an extra $10MM buring a hole in his pocket.  It's exactly halfway between BFE and Middle of Nowhere.
