Deepest Sympathies to the Corporan Family
« on: October 13, 2012, 06:53:06 pm »
They mourn the loss of their son, Carlos Corporan Jr., who died Friday at 16-months of age.  The kiddo had extensive heart problems, and had undergone four heart surgeries.
In the end, my dissolution with the game of baseball will not be a result of any loss of love for the game, rather from the realization that I can no longer bear the anger its supposed stewards cause to be built up in my soul. -Lee (01/08/2013)

Man, I can't imagine anything sadder than a parent witnessing the death of a child. Condolences to Carlos and all of his family.

How horrible.

That is so tragic. My thoughts and prayers certainly are with the Corporan family. That is every parent's worst night nightmare: to witness the death of a child.

Thanks OSF for sharing.   The Corporan Family is in my prayers.   It's been 4 years since my infant son Evan died.  The suffocating grief would have inescapable without our faith, family, and friends, including several on OWA who sent me comforting messages like Noe and astojo among others.  It just sucks, and I hope he and his family feel the comfort of so many people around them as well.

Thank you JimR and Reuben.  You don't realize how many are a part of that "fraternity" until you are a part of it.  It just sucks.

Praying for the Corporans.

It's something I can't imagine, both for you and the Corporan's.  However late, I'm sorry, and I hope faith and family and friends continue to serve you well.

I've put this off, but I will reply. This has brought tears to my eyes every day since I have read it. I can't even think about how hard it would be to lose a child. I know my boys have wondered why I have hugged them so much the last couple of days. Such great, strong people to be able to live after such a tragedy.
It's my estimation that every man ever got a statue made of 'em was one kinda sombitch or another.
