I didn't always hate the Mets. It started as dislike and didn't become full blown hate until the already hated Donn Clendenon won MVP for the World Champion Amazing Mets. Fuck them.

Wallace's chase rate is really, really bad this year. His home run distance is excellent, but he's either fishing or fooled too much.

And with that, he strikes out again to end the top of the sixth.

Because he gimped down to first when even someone like Snyder would have beaten the throw. The first baseman juggled the ball before getting it over to second.

That's unfair to bogey. Lately he's expanded his repertoire to include groundouts to 1B and even SS.

Wow, what a play by the catcher.  Maybe saved the game.

Actually, once I gambled, about 20 years ago I found myself driving through Vegas, stopped in Circus Circus to take a dump and dropped $20 in the slots, left even more depressed than I was when I got there. I'd almost forgot about it. Shit.

Absolutely, and Shoppach did what he is paid to do.  Still, if Marwin had had just a touch more speed, it would have been a run.

If frogs had wings...it was a great baseball play.  You HAVE to try to score that run, make them make a highlight play.  They did.  Good baseball, all the way around.
