Don't know about that.  He had a real good start last time.  The bad stretch could be blamed on an injury.  If scouts think he has that behind him then he might be worth a pretty good amount

Sit down, Schreefer. That was a strike.

Schreefer sucks and is really frustrating to watch.  He has a small chance to figure it out, but he'll probably have to hit "rock bottom" first, likely dfa'd by the Astros with little interest from most clubs.

If he had a good idea of the strike zone, then I could understand. But he doesn't.

Seriously, getting DFA'd by the worst fucking team in MLB has got to sting.  If you don't get that message, playing baseball is the least of your concerns.

Ihope that both Schreefer and Bogusevic get DFA'd, but I'm less than sanguine about it actually happening. I'll be tickled pink though. If they are going to make moves like Luhnow indicated, then those are the likely roster spots to turn over.

Nothing about bogey getting dfa'd makes me excited at this point other than not having to watch him roll over weakly on pitches anymore.   Had hopes he would figure it out.

And that's all for Cordero. We need to release him yesterday. He's got nothing. Nothing. The 5.73 ERA in the AL through 41 appearances tells the whole story. I wouldn't be a bit surprised if he wasn't included in the trade to more easily allow the Astros to release him instead of the Blue Jays, who had signed him.

Fuckin' hell what a way to end it. I hope Mills and Meacham at least got tossed. JD could've too, for slamming his helmet.

Sorry, I was watching a Japanese guy fall off the pommel horse and improbably elevate Great Britain to silver in the team competition. What happened here?
I remember all the good times me 'n Miller enjoyed
Up and down the M1 in some luminous yo-yo toy
But the future has to change - and to change I've got to destroy
Oh look out Lennon here I come - land ahoy-hoy-hoy

What happened here was you were watching men's gymnastics.  That's what happened here.

Not really. The rest of the season hasn't been that close. Or required amazing defensive wizardry by the opposition.

Also, I assume the Astros lost in some unfathomable way, but I'm not sure either.

Can you get tossed from a game that's already over?

Very good point. It just seems like they've had some shit luck as a topping to go with being a shitty team.

I thought your comment was spot on in that the play captured the season's theme of unrelenting kicks to the nards.

In transaction news, the Snakes DFA'd Lyle Overbay. Will we pick him up too?

Why not? Every guy the Astros pick up off the wire shows up and looks like a superstar in comparison to his new teammates.
