Schreefer jacks one to center, turning around Victorino and making him do a bit-o-running, but catches it on the track (390'), for out #2.  Lowrie at the dish.

Bogusevic takes two meatballs belt high over the center of the plate, then swings at three sliders in the dirt. Nice.
The rules of distinction were thrown out with the baseball cap.  It does not lend itself to protocol.  It is found today on youth in homes, classrooms, even in fine restaurants.  Regardless of its other consequences, this is a breach against civility.  A civilized man should avoid this mania.

Bogusevic goes 1-2, fouls one off, ball high and away, strikes out on a bender inside.  Middle 1: HOU 0, PHI 0.  And this ends my PBP for the evening...  Misc. Note: Balkin' Bob Davidson is 1BU tonight...

Harrell really has some good late action on his fastball. When he leans a bit more about pitching in the big leagues, I think that he could be a decent middle of the rotation starter.

For the record, I'm anti situational PHing for the young guys that have a true chance at becoming MLB everyday players.  As misguided as it may be, I lump Schafer into that group.

Would it change your mind if you were Millsie and you knew that Schreefer is hitting .125 against lefties?

I am not going to argue against it.  Mills has to do what he can to keep his job.  Just saying, schafer has less than 20 ABs against lefties

I probably leave Schreefer in the game in that situaion since Maxwell is even less experoienced than Schreefer.

Not thrilled with JD not being allowed to play his way out of his slump.

I think that they're close to sending him down to OkC. He's been really lost lately and is pressing.

8 games, that was how long his slump lasted before he got pulled from the lineup.  I could see moving him down in the order, but axed all together so fricken Buck could start.  Yeah, Buck who hasn't done a damn thing as a starter.  If it wasn't for Buck's at bats as a pinch hitter, he may have been let go at this point.

If they're going to send him to OKC, they need to get it over with. I understand giving him days off to get his head straight, but riding the pine any longer isn't going to do him any good.

I see your point. Buck is really a reserve player who is best coming off of the bench. I probably would have just moved him down in the order first. I thought that it was a mistake to keep him in the three while he's struggling.

If they are going to move down people struggling offensively, there are more candidates than just Martinez.  Those good at bats throughout the lineup early in the year are becoming a memory.  Seeing a lot of at bats where they watch fastball strikes and swing at off-speed balls.
