Jamie friggin' Moyer. The man's been playing since I was in high school, fer Chrissake. Now the oldest starting pitcher at 49 years and one hundred and something days to make an opening day roster.

Stands look half empty tonight, even with the Moyer non-event.

Rockies run themselves out of the fourth. Finally a little leather.
The rules of distinction were thrown out with the baseball cap.  It does not lend itself to protocol.  It is found today on youth in homes, classrooms, even in fine restaurants.  Regardless of its other consequences, this is a breach against civility.  A civilized man should avoid this mania.

She says its made out of poma pomme pomegranites, and it gives her some kind of special prowess.  So I am thinking of running out to get some.  At a liquor store, I guess.

As I recall from my adolescent days, the label on the main brand has some nubile island girl on it. I do think that she had some sort of special prowess.

If he is seriously supposed to be the "8th inning setup guy", I foresee terrible trouble.

I want to see more of that cutter down and away, if I have to watch Lyon pitch.

We don't have much choice in Austin. I'm surprised it's even on the radio "Longhorn Station."

And there's a win for the good guys. First win last year was what, Memorial Day?  70 wins baby...you heard it from me first!

The Astros haven't been .500 or better this late in a season since August 3rd, 2009 when they were 53-53.

Unless there exists an alcoholic grenadine that I don't know about, she and I are not talking about the same thing. I believe Rose's (makers of Rose's Lime Juice) make a grenadine, and it is decidedly cherry syrup.

You put grenadine in alcohol, but it's not alcoholic.  It's technically supposed to be made from pomegranates, but like anything else Rose's it's a half-assed mix of artificial flavors and high fructose corn syrup.

You can make your own which is 1000x better just by reducing Pom with sugar until its a syrup.

Wow... so the bartenders at the places we frequent that make the boys cherry Cokes using Coke and grenadine don't know what grenadine is, either. Friggin' bartender education's going down the tubes.
