I was at Rangers/Twins today...

Happened to be in Minneapolis and my wife was nice enough to surprise me with tickets.

Target Field is a nice park.  The overall size seems a bit larger than MMPUS, probably because it's outside.  The giant rendering of the classic Twins' logo looks really cool.  We sat in the nosebleeds along 3rd base and sight lines were really good.  Stadium was packed-Twins fans appear to be damn supportive despite their record (also, the field is still brand-new).

Liriano and Harrison were both buzz saws.  If Harrison hadn't walked a couple of guys, he'd have probably thrown a shutout.  Really unfortunate to see him get hit in the throwing arm with a comebacker.  Liriano's fastball was killer-lots of strikeouts on 3 pitches, or weak pop-ups to right from RHB.  First 6 innings took just over an hour.  The stadium really started to get electric during the 6th inning.  People were starting to realize they may have been witnessing a perfect game.  The Twins had a big inning in the bottom of the 7th, and I think it may have thrown off Liriano, as he gave up a solid single to Beltre leading off the 8th.

Oddly enough, I sat next to one of Jason Lane's high school buddies.  Said Lane got him tickets to both WS games in Houston in '05 (lucky bastich!).  Also, in case anyone is wondering, Lane is now trying to become an agent.
