UConn threw in two of the most ridiculous three-pointers that I've ever seen. The most ridiculous was the behind-the-back three-pointer by the OSU kid against Durant's team.

We caught it on the tube. Really tense last coupla minutes in particular. Too bad the wrong team won.

great game, and we played poorly in stretches, especially on the defensive boards. they had 23 offensive rebounds and 20 more shots. yes, that 3 pointer was ridiculous. did he get it off in time?  i thought they goaltended Johnson's drive at the end of regulation. J'Covan played great and makes this team very tough when he keeps his emotions in check. Walker made his last shot, and we missed our two. i am excited about this team's possibilities. Barnes said "We can play with anybody," and i believe that.

That is a salty, salty team heading into conference play. Yesterday's game had all the feel of a tournament game, at least on TV. I bet it was fantastic to be there.

I know I probably expect too much but how come Thompson never learned shoot free throws at one of his three high schools? He's gonna get fouled a lot, learning how to hit a freebie would be nice. Other than that and Hamilton's flubbed break away dunk, a great game. I though Johnson shot was goal tending too.

UConn's Walker is really good getting his shot off from the dribble, not so good at setting his teammates up.

That play was directly in front of us and I swear he didn't get it off.  No replay in the drum so what did the TV show?

The horns didn't play nearly as well as they did against Arkansas.  They seemed very emotionally charged up for this game.  They  missed a ton of lay ups/point blank shots.

I am really looking forward to conference play.

I thought Manny Diaz got a nice reception.

It was interesting to see that he was not only missing them, he wasn't really close to getting enough arc to at least give them a chance.  He'll get it.  Too talented not to

Balbay played great on Walker, despite giving up the game-winning shot.

And agreed re: shot not getting off in time and the goal tending on GJ.

They ran the replay a couple of times and his hand was on the backboard after the initial block and the ball was on top of his hand, not the other way around. No goaltending.

the play was right in ftont of me, and it looked like he blocked it against the board.

Yeah, that's what I thought too. I was off the couch yelling at the tv and then they showed the replay...so I sat back down.

Speaking of college basketball, I am finally getting into the Carolina swing of things.  Saw NC State undress Wake Forest at the RBC Center on Saturday and saw Duke squeak by Maryland at Cameron last night.  Cameron is old, tiny, and packed with insane fans.  Definitely a 'bucket list' type experience.  Maryland/Duke was an ugly, physical type game but still a delight to watch.  Every player on both teams was giving 100% effort on defense 100% of the time-lots of full court press, diving for balls, throwing hands into passing lanes, etc.  I might just start liking college basketball.
