Thanks for the update.  Was thinking his days as an Astro might be over after the Astros gave Chris Shelton a non-roster invitation to Spring Training.
In the end, my dissolution with the game of baseball will not be a result of any loss of love for the game, rather from the realization that I can no longer bear the anger its supposed stewards cause to be built up in my soul. -Lee (01/08/2013)

Does anyone have any insight as to why he wasn't given a look when Berkman was out last year?

If you watch him at the plate, you will see.  He gets fooled too often and does not really have the bat speed to make the most of it unless he guesses right.  MLB pitching would eat him alive.

Noticed that Charlton Jimerson signed with the Twins and is expected to play CF at Rochester this summer.  BA also mentioned that
Quote
"The Miami product showed an all-or-nothing approach in eight pro seasons, batting .249/.303/.444 in affiliated ball. He also stands as the Pacific Coast League's record holder for most strikeouts in a season, which he accomplished when he fanned 183 times with Round Rock in '06."
