Scioscia has always been one of my favorite manager's.  Tracy...well, he did a nice job with the Rox, plus he's a peach of a guy.  Good for the both of them.
The rules of distinction were thrown out with the baseball cap.  It does not lend itself to protocol.  It is found today on youth in homes, classrooms, even in fine restaurants.  Regardless of its other consequences, this is a breach against civility.  A civilized man should avoid this mania.

Kinda surprised Gardenhire didn't win, but I guess he didn't have the tragedy that Scioscia had to deal with.  Great choices nonetheless.

I guarantee, that will not happen again.
I believe there ought to be a constitutional amendment outlawing AstroTurf and the designated hitter. I believe in the sweet spot, soft-core pornography, opening your presents Christmas morning rather than Christmas Eve and I believe in long, slow, deep, torture of Bud Selig.

I like how there's not an outpouring of sabermetric debate about manager of the year.  The calm before the storm of Lincecum not winning tomorrow.

This award was given out by the Baseball Writers' Association of America, not the Baseball Writers' Association of North Korea...
